Portugal’s Official Submission for 'Best International Feature Film' category at the 97th Academy Awards in 2025. I’ve never been so annoyed at a movie theater, but I stayed for the whole thing out of respect for other viewers.
The height of boomer humor)
The comedic reliefs are completely unfunny (really, why does anyone laugh at women cursing men anymore? It evokes no feelings other than a deep sense of irritation and wasted time.
It’s really oddly paced and frankly boring
Some shots are nice (if you’ve never been to Asia) and I have to appreciate the use of traditional Asian music. However, it’s not enough to make up for how poorly structured and how truly pointless this movie is.
