American (English) remake of the French HPI series (2021)
Synopsis
Watch Morgan, a single mother of three, and how her extraordinary mind allows her to help solve a crime by rearranging evidence on her police cleaning shift. Despite his very high IQ, excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of the occult, Morgan makes several basic legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a legal TV show should avoid.
Nor can it be used to obtain other evidence—a violation of the “fruit of the poisonous tree” legal doctrine
In the first episode, for example, he retrieves a document from a locked safe in the suspect/victim’s attorney’s office that would never be admissible in court—illegally obtained evidence. Part 2 reminds you to wear gloves before touching evidence at a crime scene, and in Part 3, you remove all documented evidence from the police, completely breaking the chain of evidence, so everything you removed is no more.
admissible in court
Remake of HPI (2021). I loved, loved, loved the original.
I don’t expect it to be the same (the original was French, for heaven’s sake, with a fantastic cast, and that certainly added to the show’s spice and frantic pace)
That said, the promising concept and stories are solid (assuming they tell the same stories), so I’ll give the US version a shot, certainly over more episodes, and let the cast do their own version. .
This version certainly has its great potential
By the end of the season, I hope the show is as good as the original, or at least close to it, even if it’s a little different, and Kaitlin isn’t the incredible Audrey Fleurot (but who is?).
